Melbourne Cup Tour Itinerary:

Sat 3rd Nov
Fly from Auckland to Melbourne with Air NZ, departing 8.00am, arriving 10.00am. Transfer from the airport to our accommodation, The Mercure Welcome Hotel, where we will be staying the next four nights. The Mercure Welcome Hotel is located in the city centre.
After settling into your room, free time to explore the city, before meeting up for a Welcome Party; enjoy a drink and nibbles at a nearby restaurant.

Sun 4th Nov
After breakfast we will ride the iconic Melbourne Trams to the seaside suburb of St Kilda. Free time to explore The Esplanade Market, St Kilda.
Tonight you have the option to attend a Dinner & Show (optional extra).

Mon 5th Nov
After breakfast you have the choice to:
 - Have a free day to explore this fascinating city
 - Hidden Secrets Laneways & Arcades shopping tour including lunch (optional extra).
 - Real Melbourne Bike Ride Tour including lunch (optional extra).
Cup Eve Dinner! Tonight we'll enjoy a fun night out sampling some fine Melbourne cuisine.

Tue 6th Nov
EMIRATES MELBOURNE CUP DAY - The fun & excitement begins! After breakfast we will enjoy a leisurely & scenic boat cruise along the river, sipping on Bubbles, making our way to Flemington Racecourse for the big day to begin.
Today we have entry to The Banks @ Ascot & reserved seating in The Lawn Stand. The Banks @ Ascot offers live music, food & beverage facilities, tables & umbrellas, large super screen and lots more.

Wed 7th Nov
After breakfast we will make our way to The Yarra Valley, famous for vineyards & gourmet delights. Today we will be visiting and sampling the fine flavours of the region's most famous vineyard & wineries, we'll also be treated to a delicious lunch.
So we can experience the full ambience of the Yarra Valley, this evening we will stay at Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort & Spa. I'd recommend booking yourself a lovely facial or massage at the Natskin Day Spa. After settling into your room & making use of the resort facilities, we will enjoy a Farewell Dinner.

Thurs 8th Nov
Optional sunrise Hot Air Balloon experience. After breakfast there will be some free time to relax & enjoy the resort facilities.
We will then head off for some more sightseeing & lunch in a nearby town, before heading to the airport.
Fly from Melbourne to Auckland with Air NZ, departing 6.30pm, arriving 11.59pm.
