A boutique small group tour carefully created by Amanda Taylor-Ace, inspired by her love of Provence.  Join Amanda in France as she shares her ‘la joie de vivre’ – the joy of living! 

Spend two fabulous weeks based in restored 18th century villas, nestled in a typical Provencal hillside village, enjoying all day sun within a walled garden covered with vines, outdoor terraces and swimming pool.  Be treated to the regional sightseeing highlights and gourmet delights, while enjoying a range of evening entertainment.

Preliminary Tour Itinerary, in brief:


Day 1-Saturday (D)
Bonjour! Pick up at Avignon TGV station. Transfer to St. Maximin and your new home - Maison de Maitresse. Get acquainted with your fellow guests and hostesses over a Kir Royale welcome cocktail, or two. Enjoy the afternoon relaxing poolside before celebrating the beginning of your experience with Amanda's world famous Beaujolais Soup, welcome feast and music.

Day 2-Sunday (B,L,D)
Tour briefing and breakfast pool side, before heading off to experience a local flea market. Soak up the atmosphere as you rub shoulders with the locals. Amanda's famous Goat Cheese Salad for lunch, followed by more relaxing in the courtyard poolside, before enjoying a meal prepared by Amanda's newest guest chef - Anton - whom will also share his music talents with the group.

Day3-Monday (B,D)
Breakfast and causal French lesson with Maurice, before visiting Les Baux Des Provence and the Cathedrale d'Images. Time for shopping and lunch (own cost) in the village, before visiting St Remy (time permitting). Another eventful evening with great food and live music by Maurice & Francoise.

Day 4-Tuesday (B,L,D)
Breakfast and causal French lesson with Maurice, then a relaxing day, with the option to be dropped off at a nearby village for your own exploration. Amanda will offer a cooking demonstration of her famous Lovash & Tapenades - enjoy over a long lunch and many glasses of rose! Guest chef - Rosemary - to prepare more scrumptious food for this evening.

Day 5-Wednesday (B,L,D)
Breakfast and causal French lesson with Amanda, then stroll the Wednesday's markets in Uzes, get accustomed with the local drop during a wine tasting, then lunch together at one of Uzes top restaurants - Terrior. Free time for shopping in Uzes and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Amanda & Judy to prepare yet another fabulous meal for this evening.

Day 6-Thursday (B,L,D)
Breakfast, then experience a wonderful day kayaking down the river to Pont du Gard, share a gourmet picnic lunch under the sun. Call in for some wine tasting at the local co-op before heading home to relax. This evening enjoy a meal prepared by Judy.

Day 7-Friday (B,D)
Breakfast, then today visit Avignon, orientation by tourist train and visit Palace Palais du Pape. Then free time to wander, shop and dine (own cost) at your leisure. Avignon offers some great shops! Party Night! Cooking demonstration by John NZ. Music by Charles Toi and accompanying musicians. Fine wine, sensational food, great music and excellent company - and a hostess that likes to dance the night away!

Day 8-Saturday (B,L,D)
Breakfast, then off to discover the lively buzz of Uze markets; later soak up the atmosphere whist enjoying shucked oysters and wine at a local cafe overlooking the markets. Back home enjoy a cooking demonstration with produce from the market, in true Provencal splendour. A relaxed dinner this evening enjoyed outdoors.

Day 9-Sunday (B,L,D)
Breakfast, then off on a walking tour with knowledgeable local, Gabby, though the fields and forest into Uzes. Perhaps a side trip to the Valley D'Eure, the spring source where water was taken to Nimes over the aqueduct and Pont du Gard 2000 years ago. Return to the maison via a flea market for those that want to. Lunch and wine tasting at a local winery Chateau de Panery Rutger. Dinner in house.

Day 10-Monday (B,D)
Breakfast, then today visit nearby Roussillon and Gordes, two highlights of the area. Free time to wonder the towns and dine (own cost) at your leisure. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 11-Tuesday (B,L,D)
Breakfast then enjoy a relaxing morning, option of heading to St. Quentin la Poterie, a nearby village. Judy to prepare lunch at the maison. More relaxing this afternoon, followed by a casual evening meal.

Day 12-Wednesday (B,D)
Breakfast, today visit Arles, orientation by tourist train then explore at your leisure. You'll be able to wander, shop and dine (own cost) at your leisure. Get ready for an entertaining evening as Michel prepares your evening meal - his signature Paella. Music on the terrace.

Day 13-Thursday (B,L,D)
Breakfast, then wine tasting and then enjoy a special Grand Finale lunch at "La Maison". Followed this evening by a light meal & Beaujolais Soup. More food, more wine, more fun!

Day 14-Friday (B)
Final breakfast together on the terrace, before heading to Avignon to connect with your onward travel arrangements. Bon voyage!

Tour includes accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner - B/L/D), wine with meals and entertainment as per the above tour itinerary.
